Playing down its unsuccessful bid to establish diplomatic ties with Bhutan, China on Monday said it is glad to see New Delhi and Thimphu develop their relations further during the just-concluded visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Admitting that it was aware of China developing rail links in its border areas, including Tibet and Xinjiang Autonomous Regions, India said on Wednesday it keeps a 'constant watch' on all developments having a bearing on its security.
The Chinese side has particularly bolstered its presence in the Galwan Valley, erecting around 100 tents in the last two weeks and bringing in heavy equipment for construction of bunkers, notwithstanding the stiff protest by Indian troops.
